REFUND POLICY1.The student (parent or legal guardian of a minor) agrees that if the enrollment agreement is canceled by either party during the introductory period the student will be responsible for the purchase of any nonreturnable / non refundable books and equipment issued and, will be entitled to a refund of all monies paid less the $100.00 registration fee. 2. If a student, (parent or legal guardian of a minor), requests cancellation in writing within three business days of signing the Enrollment Agreement, all monies paid to the school will be refunded. This includes students who have attended classes. The business days will be determined by the postmark date or date delivered in person to the Administrator.3. If a cancellation request is made after three business days, and prior to attending class, the student, (parent or legal guardian of a minor), will be entitled to a refund of all monies paid, less the $100.00 registration fee. 4.In the event of a transfer, withdrawal, or dismissal the student, (parent or legal guardian of a minor) will be charged an administrative fee of $150.00. All charges and retention of funds will be based on the actual percentage of hours scheduled (up to 60%) during a pay period as defined in the Enrollment Agreement. Any transfer, withdraw, or dismissal after 60% completion of a pay period will be calculated at 100% of the pay period. All charges and retention of funds are calculated on a pay period as defined in the Enrollment Agreement and in accordance with the United States Department of Education Return of Title IV policy. All fees are identified in the catalog and enrollment agreement.5. In cases of an illness or disabling accident, death in the immediate family, or other circumstances beyond the control of the student, the school may make a settlement which is reasonable and fair to both.6. The costs of items to students such as administrative fees, instructional supplies, equipment, service charges, student activity fees, textbooks, kits, uniforms or rentals are not to be considered in the tuition adjustment computation. Uniforms, kit and books are non refundable and nonreturnable due to sanitary reasons, and are charged during the first payment period of enrollment.7. Formal cancellation will occur within 30 days of a determination by the school that a student has withdrawn without notifying the school.8. If the school is permanently closed and no longer offering instruction after a student has enrolled the charges and retention of funds will be calculated on scheduled hours of attendance as of the date of closure, the charges and retention of funds will be the same as the transfer, withdrawal or dismissal policy. The school does not participate in any teach-out plans with other institutions.9. If a course is canceled subsequent to the student’s enrollment, the school will provide a full return of all monies paid.10. Any refund or return of funds required will be done within 45 days of the formal cancellation or termination.Guy's Academy complies with all refund requirements as set forth by state and / or federal programs.If a Title IV financial aid recipient withdraws prior to course completion, a calculation for return of Title IV funds will be completed and any applicable returns by the school shall be paid, as applicable, first to Unsubsidized Direct Loan program; second to Subsidized Direct Loan program; third to Federal Pell Grant program; fourth to any other financial assistance programs; and last to the student. After all applicable returns to Title IV aid have been made, this refund policy will apply to determine the amount earned by the school and owed by the student. If a student has received personal payments of Title IV aid, he/she may be required to refund the aid to the applicable program. For any student who fails to complete their course the following schedule of tuition earned by the school applies.
