Guy's Academy ADMISSION POLICY
GUY’S ACADEMY, in their admission, instruction,
and graduation polices practice no discrimination on the basis of sex,
age, race, color, religion, ethnic origin or financial status. Students
must be a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. National or an eligible non citizen.
Student applications will be reviewed and students will be interviewed
before admission. However, Guy’s Academy may not accept students that
are convicted felons or are under indictment for a felony. It is the
policy of Guy’s Academy not to recruit students from other cosmetology
schools.
COSMETOLOGY, ESTHETICS,
MANICURING, AESTHETICS PLUS
Admission Requirements:
1. Must be at least 17 years of age
2. Personal Interview
3. Tour of the Academy
4. Aptitude Analysis
5. Completed Student Application
6. Two Salon Visits / Recommendations
7 High School Diploma or General Education
Diploma (GED)
8. Birth Certificate or Copy of Driver’s
License
9. Two photographs (not smaller than 2" x 2")
10. Social Security Card
11. Financial Planning
12. $100.00 School Registration Fee
The following doesn’t meet the required proof
of education: Completion of a SBESE-Approved
Home Study Program. In order to receive a Louisiana State Equivalency
Diploma, the student must pass the General Educational Development (GED)
test.

TEACHER TRAINING
Admission Requirements:
1. Same as above, except must be at least 18
years of age and have a current Cosmetology, Esthetic or Manicuring
license
Following acceptance into the school, all students must be registered
with the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology. A $10.00 money order from
the student must accompany the registration papers.
